Deathgrip Elevation

I bought this Deathgrip Elevation tripod from BOG after years of gun hunting from a treestand with shooting sticks. After using the Deathgrip tripod and loving that, I had to buy the the Elevation! This takes gun hunting from a treestand to the next level of convenience! The Deathgrip head holds my Savage 220 very steady and in a shooting ready position. That said. this is not a product that is easy to carry around from stand to stand. It is heavy and the ratchet strap is very big, but it is needed to hold the base solid to the tree so it is understandable. The base does give you some adjustability in left to right and up and down tilt but not vertical height. That you have to achieve by raising or lowering the entire base on the tree. This can take some time to get in the perfect position so setting it up before the hunt is probably best. It would be nice if it had a few inches of vertical adjustment to work with. Overall it is still well worth the investment, and I look forward to using it for years to come!
