The Javelin Pro Hunt TAC Bipod from Spartan Precision Equipment works great for the most part. I used this bipod every day for a week straight hunting mule deer in Montana. Just as the advertising video described, it was great for adding to my cargo pocket and for people folks like me who do not want to have a fixed bipod attached to their rifle.
Issue one I had was the 7mm screw that retains the pivoting arm came loose while in my pocket. When I went to tighten the arm, the screw fell off and it was gone. Without this screw, the bipod will fall apart. Luckily my local hardware store had some. I recommend buying a few extra to have just in case.
issue two: I first mounted this on my Seekins Havak PH2 and it mounted perfectly. Then I switch the mounting plate to a Savage Axis 2 and within 2 hours of hunting, the screw broke causing me to drop the rifle. I matched the screw just like the video showed and it still broke.
Aside from those two issues, the only other thing I found was that the magnet was not strong enough to hold the bipod in the fitting when trying to extend the legs in the prone position.
Overall I really like the design and when it worked for me it worked great just some minor issues I had.
