As expected with Swarovski products, this STR 80 HD w/25-50x W spotting scope tops the charts with durability, quality, design, and functionality. It is very well built, but a little heavy as expected with added battery for the illuminated reticle and the sure robust design and ruggedness. On a tripod, the weight balance is great--even on a small field tripod. Another great feature is the changeable eye pieces for personalized preferences.
The ability to turn on the illuminated reticle is awesome. The different brightness levels of the reticle is very helpful as light conditions change throughout the day. A very good tool for those long gunners out there like me.
I used the spotting scope this year during hunting season, and it performed flawlessly. I was able to really judge deer and elk much easier and better.
I would recommend this product for anyone who is serious about looking crystal clearly at objects near and far with no added eye strain.
