I've worn a lot of boots over the years, and these are bar none the best. I started with Georgia Boots, which were comfy but didn't last. I moved on to Danner, which were good all the way around except for the Elk Hunter. Over a 9 month period, I had four pairs. I returned 3, because the soles kept falling off. They returned to me a new pair each time, but I gave up after the sole fell off the 4th pair. Next, I moved on to Red Wing with the idea of "you get what you pay for," but what I got for $300 was a pair of boots that came apart from the soles after 10 months. Then I moved on to Crispi. I bought a pair of the Guide Non-Insulated GTX. I was kind of skeptical of the rocker in them at first, but came to believe my specific pair to have insoles made of unborn chinchilla and the outers to be crafted from the beard of Zeus-these boots are comfortable and won't give up. I wear a pair of the Nevadas for my everyday boot, thinking they'd get tired and wear out during the fall hunts. Wrong again. The Nevada's have held up WAY better than I ever expected. I'm very hard on boots, and after 10 months, these are showing zero sign of wear anywhere but the soles. They look like they'll go at least another year. A man could comfortably wear these boots for a day of work before chasing a 380-inch bull in the evening. I'm a believer in Crispi.
