I was a huge fan of my original Preacher pants so much so when the 2.0's came out I wanted to get another pair. The original pants I would call true to size. Fit through the legs and seat was where it should be for a guy who hikes and works out. When I got the 2.0 pants in they were way tighter, I sent them back and requested up one pant size. My new 34x29s fit like my old 32x29s. Got to wear them the last few days of hunting season here in Virginia and love them.
The last week I got caught out in a pretty good rain shower. I threw on a rain jacket and these pants that are water resistant enough with their DWR coating - I stayed dry. I walked back out through a young pine plantation. The pants did take on some moisture but within an hour or so they were back to dry.
I'd also note while these are definitely not briar pants by any stretch of the imagination you can run through them all day and they will not pull fibers or strings from the pant like my sitka pants.
I love the knee pants for saddle hunting and I wear them in the spring turkey hunting because they shed the early morning dew and with the side vents won't burn you out when the temps start going up.
