Weatherby Vanguard synthetic .270 cal

I'm a hunting guide from Vermont, and I have truly enjoyed the last 50 years of guiding and mentoring my guests from 12- to 75-year-old enthusiasts. I cover many miles under my feet every year to accommodate my clients to the best of my ability and to find new areas for trophy white-tailed deer, moose, turkeys, black bears, and more.

I do stay in shape, but my favorite rifle just kept getting heavier by the year. So I decided to go lighter. I chose the Weatherby Wilderness in 270. Since I began using it, I'm less fatigued and more comfortable after long days afield. I strapped a small Swarovski scope on top, and now I'm toting 1.5 lbs fewer pounds than before. I can tell you I am totally satisfied with my choice over all other available options.

Weatherby has maintained high-quality standards since its beginning and that has not changed since. After bore-sighting my scope I only needed one adjustment to fine tune it while maintaining a 1/2-inch group at 100 yards. I'm 67 and still able to get around. Carrying less weight has made it possible to keep doing what I love to do: which is make you successful.
