I bought this to add another layer to the kit for those cold mornings in Western Washington. So far I've been satisfied with the performance of the Klamath. It does a solid job of traping body heat and is thick enough to damper out a breezy. Paired with the Brooks down sweater it's all you'll need for cold mornings/evenings or just sitting and glassing. I went with the quarter zip in order to cut down on the amount of hoods I'd have to deal with. So far so good in the zipper department no issues yet. Knock on wood. Fully zipped your neck will be protected/covered while at the same time allowing you to unzip and dump body heat. The fit is true to size, so no need to buy big or smaller. The Klamath has the same feature as the Brooks down sweater in regards to being a little extra long in the back to prevent riding up while wearing a pack. It's got a chest pocket for odds and ends. One thing I've noticed specially when side by side with the down sweater is the Klamath has a shine to it. It's due to the different material compared to the Brooks but almost reminds me of the look of the walmart camo (mossy oak or real tree). However, not a bad thing and hasn't effected the performance or camouflaging .
