I drug my feet on getting these because I wanted to try them on first. I am a very small female with small feet, but wide. Most hiking boots are I'll fitting for me. Too tight in the toe box and loose in the heal. These 1980 OUTFITTER GTX® RR WNS fit perfectly. I wear a size 6 street shoe. So I ordered 6.5 for sock and insole room. It works perfectly.
Hunting in big country calls for side hilling and off trail miles. The high ankle support and the smaller footprint allows for easier and more comfortable side hilling with great traction. For such a substantial boot, they are surprisingly light.
These boots are priceless.
