I have tried many boots in the last 25 years of sheep hunting. I tried a pair of kenetrek's last year that my right foot didn't like and I ended crippled up with a morton neuroma. Nothing worse as a guide. I thought I was breaking the boots in, but they injured my nerve before I knew what was happening. I was at the pediatrist getting cortisone shots in my foot as soon as I had time. Since then I have tried every boot around because I'm getting to the age where as a sheep guide I have to take better care of my feet, or I won't be able to go anymore. I usually wear a size 13 slender but the Granite 12 Med. with 200 grams insulation fits me great. My feet LOVE the stiff sole, and the boots fit my foot better than any other make of boot. These boots seem to be a great boot for late fall elk, and winter lion hunting. There are many great boots out there but these are the cat's meow for my feet and hunting style.
