I've used onX maps for years in the backcountry of WY hunting elk, mule deer, and bears along with numerous backpacking trips. Not only is it my guide for public and private land but also my GPS with their offline maps. I love the features of being able to share waypoints with friends and their new-ish 3D map, although there are a few bugs to work out I think, at least with the Android version. It works well but not perfect, but it's a new feature so some "growing pains" are to be expected. I recently moved to AK and have been E-scouting for a year waiting for my residency so I can go hunt moose, caribou, bears, sheep, and mountain goats. I got waypoints all over the place and don't know what I would do without onX always in my pocket. My biggest critique of the app is that they are very pushy with their elite membership. As a paying customer with the premium membership they need to tone it down a notch or seven with the in app ads for their elite membership. There was a bit there that I was getting a pop up for it when I opened the app and then everytime I tried to click on anything it would pop up again... All in all a great product and great customer service (they let me change my premium membership from WY to AK when I moved and wished me the best of luck in my new adventures). I highly recommend onX to anybody that hikes, bikes, hunts, camps, or does anything else, where there may not always be service.
