All in all I'm thrilled with the XS 5-PIN from Apex. I had originally purchased because it was simply an extremely affordable, multi-pin sight to get on my bow before turkey season.. however, I really fell into its simplicity.
The fiberoptics are bright as any..
The level bubble can be a little sticky when bubble is tilted to the end of the tube, but if that thing is squared, it's damn squared..
It stacks pins VERY nicely if you should need to push to 70 or 80 yds.
The fact that I've dinged this as hard as I have in the last 2 months, and it behaves as if I just installed it & sighted it in. Even the idea of mounts not being made of machined metal is a discomfort for me, However, It shows zero wear, and doesn't shift or move in the slightest.
If I were to change anything, it might be the pin adjustments. Simply the length you have to back pins out to disengage, followed by how free the pins are once they're disengaged, can make adjustments a pain. Luckily, if you have a decent feel for your bow, you can tune a pin and eyeball/guesstimate the next location, darn near to target.
At the end of the day, it's a solid budget friendly sight option that surprised me, once I started using it and taking it in the field. IF I move on from this sight it will, at the very least, remain in my field bag or on my backup bow.
