After many years of using three piece brass cleaning rods (which have connections to tips and adaptors), I decided to try something new.
I purchased a, Tipton 1 Piece Carbon Fiber Cleaning Rod. I started with the 40", .22-.26 caliber for my .22's and 6.5mm rifles. I am glad I did. What a refreshing change to just add the Tipton Best Bore Brushes and the Ultra Jags with patches for a much more meticulous cleaning job. With the ball bearing handle, you will immediately notice how much more material will be removed on your first patch down the barrel. The best part is everything uses an 8-24 thread pattern.
No more looking for tip adaptors. Like I have said on other reviews, I wish I had purchased these cleaning tools much sooner than I have.
I have since purchased a 12", Tipton .27-.45 caliber rod for my pistols and also a 40", .27-.45 rod for my 30.06 and .308. I have since added the 36" Universal Shotgun Rod, to round out my cleaning rods. Time is precious, don't waste it looking for parts to add to parts to clean your firearms. Check out the Tipton 1 Piece Carbon Fiber Cleaning Rods today and take the hassle out of gun cleaning. I find it best to store them in the tubes they come in. I will be building a rack to hang them vertically soon and add pictures. Here is the final look at the Carbon Fiber Cleaning Rod Rack. Neat, out of the way and easy accessibility.
