I pack this scope in my day pack and hike 12 miles with it no problem. When my UDH 18x56 binoculars couldn't verify if it was deer or a stick, the scope helped eliminate the imagination. 3 miles out and clear as mountain water.
This was used in the lower southwest of Arizona where glassing is done miles away through thermals. Packed in my exo moutain pack at a total weight of all gear and food at 50lbs.
This angled spotting scope made quick work of the Arizona landscape. I loved it! I used over the course of 3 days. This was a wilderness area so backpacking was the name of the game.
Glassing towards the sun has never been easier. In order to spot a bedded mule deer you have to glass in the shadows. Which means you have to glass in towards the sun. This cope had zero issues with that! This scope helped me eliminate the wondering of "Is that a deer?"
