Saddle hunting backpack

I bought the Pop Up 28 for saddle hunting. I hunt a combo of close private property with short hikes in and public property with much longer hikes. I wanted something that I could easily carry in my sticks or tree spikes, platform, small gear, a jacket as well as have the flexibility to pack and carry game out if needed.
First think I noticed was how comfortable it was to carry. My kit loaded out was about 25# so not heavy at all but very well balanced. Other packs I've used felt like it was all just hanging on my shoulders, not this one.
It was very easy to climb 25 ft or so up a tree wearing the pack, it fit very secure with no movement as I climbed. It fits all I need for an all day hunt, the top storage area provides perfect access to my headlamp, bow release and wind indicators while the main compartment fits my rain gear & leaf jacket with plenty of extra room.
The front storage area with its 2 pockets fits my tags, knife, gloves, rain cover and extra batteries no problem. When winter comes I can easily fit a hat and gloves in the front part outside the pockets.
I've started hanging the bag in a manner that I can buckle the padded waist belt around the tree and use it as a knee pad when I am resting in the saddle, added bonus!
I've had it out a few dozen times so far and though I have shot deer while using it they have all been close enough to drag sonibhave not had a chance to use it for carrying quarters out. Very happy with it so far.
If you buy one a must have are the extra straps! I've used them for securing my sticks, climbing spikes, I've secured my bow to the pack and climbed trees with it instead of using a pull rope. Must have! I'd also get the small rain cover. If nothing else its blaze orange and you can just have that in an area where it is required.
