I was in the market for new boots, I was debating on a hiking shoe for the versatility and light weight, but didn't want to sacrifice the sturdiness waterproof of a high boot. I was at a crossroads… I was turned on to these boots from a buddy and they checked some boxes. I was shocked at how mobile and athletic I felt, I could feel the ground under me, I had all the ankle support in the world, waterproof, and most importantly I was well under my price range and very satisfied.
My only concern after a full season of use is the heel, I've heard from several people that no matter how much break in takes place; hot spots can still be felt on the heel of the boot and I have found that to be the case ever now and again. Having heard so many other guides talk about this with different types of Crispi's, I really wish there was something that could be done about it. I have switched inserts, worn multiple pairs of socks and have even switched sizes. Guess I'll have to build some better calluses on my feet because they're a legit all around bootđź‘Ť
