I ordered the Forloh AllClima 3L Rain Jacket to get me through the fall season of guiding and working in the mountains in northwest Wyoming. I was never attacked by a bear! They all ran away after seeing me in this jacket.
I wore it extensively while riding horseback and working around camp for two months. Even when it wasn't raining, I used it as an outer windproof shell over several layers of insulation. I overloaded the pockets and used it as my gear hauler. (That is the client's pack I'm wearing in the photo.)
The Good: Fit was excellent and allowed layering. The outer material is very quiet for any garment, much less a rain proof garment. I never felt clammy or sweaty as I have in other rain gear, so breathability is excellent! Durability was very good*; I wore it saddling, feeding hay bales, carrying firewood, busting through brush, etc. Zippers held up nicely.
The Bad (picking of nits): My biggest gripe is that there is no loop to hang the coat from a nail or hook to dry out. I had to hang it by the hood itself. Notably, the matching pants have a couple of loops...
The *Ugly: When I got home and was going over all my gear, I noticed that the outer material was delaminating around the shoulder pockets on both sleeves; and I never used those pockets anyway. Other than that, after the first washing in two months, it looked as new. BUT WAIT! Forloh's customer service is excellent and they stand behind their products. They sent me an RMA and returned me a new jacket. Not so Ugly after all, especially as I never even noticed it in the field and it never failed.
