I have larger glass, but the idea of having a compact design that is ready for travel, backpacking or for bird hunting where I want to be unencumbered, sounded great. For turkey season, it's nice to have glass that just sits in the pocket and is used when I see what looks like a shed, or some colour I can't quite make out in the dense timber. I also use compacts when elk hunting deep timber and a 42mm just seems overkill.
I found the bino to be light, clear and the perfect power range for general short duration glassing. Their edge to edge clarity is decent, and unless you're birdwatching, won't effect general enjoyment of use.
