I have suffered hearing loss from years of shooting and now wear hearing aids. So when I hunt I usually wear foam ear plugs. When used properly they muffle quiet conversation and don't allow me to hear birds flush, causing a delayed reaction and more missed birds than I would like. When I discovered the Walkers Silencer BT 2.0 I was intrigued - the ability to hear conversations and birds flushing while having protection from gunshot noise was exactly what I needed. I received them at the end of hunting season, but just before I went on a 3-day goose hunt. The Silencer BT 2.0 performed well on my goose hunt. I was able to hear conversation in the blind, enjoy the sounds of geese calling, and most importantly , they did a good job of muffling shotgun blasts. I haven't used the bluetooth feature other than experimenting with it at home where it seemed to work fine. My only criticism was that in high wind as I experienced during one day of my goose hunt, the noise was distracting. When that happened I simply muted the hearing enhancement feature of the Silencer BT 2.0, so it basically performed like foam ear plugs. Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase.
