After going through two pairs of $200 boots in a 4 year span I decided to up my commitment to my feet by purchasing a high quality boot. I had heard great things about Kenetrek so I committed to buying a pair. I am starting year three on these boots and they don't look like they are slowing down anytime soon. They are still in great shape and keep my feet dry and secure. The only caution I would say about these boots is that they have a very stiff sole. I personally like that as it allows a lot of security when covering tough terrain. The one drawback from these boots is that with the stiff sole, the sole is very hard and rough on the ball of my feet. This caused stress on the tendons on the ball of my feet after I would hit 20 miles on a multi day trip. I had to switch out the boot inserts to something softer and I haven't had any issues since. Overall, I highly recommend these boots. My first year wearing these boots I was able to harvest a bull elk, a mule deer buck, multiple upland birds and was able to help clients harvest animals as well.
