Good daypack for MT light frame

I needed a daypack for my Mystery Ranch Guide Light MT frame. Although the Sawtooth binds down pretty tight, I needed something a little less bulky. This is really helpful for the summer scouting and days I just want to take the bow out. It is probably the lowest size I would go. I'd prefer a 28 liter or 30. However, the Mule did do a great job with what I had for a scouting/photography trip I recently did. I was pleasantly surprised with how much the pack was able to open up. I had my general backcountry gear, along with my camera and lenses. There is also a holder for my water bladder. Held 3 liters no problem. Also, they have the slot to either side for the tube. It doesn't come with the traditional clip snaps for binding gear on the side pockets. However, I used the Velcro end to keep the binding in place. Not one slip for a larger tripod on the side pocket. Kept tight over a long hike. One thing to note about the size - we could cheat with the MR packs! Having the mule coupled with the Guide Light Frame allows you to use the load area for additional carrying. I generally keep my go to gear in a dry bag. If I needed more space, I would have no reservations about packing that to the frame and using the Mule for items I want more within reach. As much as I say I would rather have a slightly bigger bag for my daypack, the Mule did a fantastic job. I'm looking forward to the fall when I could pack in with my Sawtooth with my spike camp gear and use this for my daytime excursions on the mountain. Highly recommended for those looking to incorporate the daypack to their MR frames.
