Montana General Rifle Season Elk Hunt
The Montana high country throws a lot at you in the general hunting season. With the hunting season occurring the last week of October until the end of November, the weather can range from 40s and sunny to -30 and whiteout. Having the proper gear can keep you going the extra distance when the tides turn against you. I have guided and hunted elk in Montana for the last 5 years and over that time I think I have been able to dial my gear in quite well. Here you can see some of my must have items to help you find the elk all the way to getting it home and in the freezer.
