Moultrie’s Edge series cameras are the most popular cell cameras for deer hunting because they are built to be highly reliable and easy to use. With auto-connect technology, the Edge cameras automatically connect to the strongest signal nearby, no matter the provider. Plus, with internal storage, you don’t have to rely on an unreliable SD card to save your valuable images and videos. However, this is where the Edge 3 series comparison ends.

The Edge 3 and Edge 3 Pro cellular cameras are now Bluetooth-enabled. This unlocks key features that were previously unavailable, such as offline mode and Moultrie Connect. Now, when an Edge 3 user is within 100 yards of their camera, they can connect via Bluetooth to change settings and use Live Aim, which sends real-time video to the Moultrie app for perfect camera setup every time.

Even better, the Bluetooth connection in the Edge 3 will communicate with all of Moultrie’s new Feeder Kits. When an Edge 3 and a new feeder kit are within 100 yards of each other, the feeder becomes a remotely controlled feeder. That’s right, you can control all of your feeder settings from home, utilize the sunrise and sunset feature to ensure you’re always feeding during daylight hours, check battery and feed levels, and Feed on Demand.

All Edge 3 series cameras come with Moultrie A.I., which gives users more control over their cameras and helps extend battery life. With Moultrie A.I., you can schedule your camera to upload images once or twice a day, but if a buck walks in front of the camera, you can also set it to record a video instead of taking a picture and send it immediately to the app. You can also tell the camera only to send you deer pictures or turkey or whatever you choose, and you’ll never receive the annoying raccoon, squirrel and wind-blown images of nothing. This saves a lot of battery power and keeps your image gallery more manageable.

Another key feature of the Edge 3 cameras is the built-in GPS, which automatically records your camera’s location on the maps section of the app. The Edge 3 camera captures 40-megapixel images and 1080p video, with a 0.5-second trigger speed and a low-glow flash that reaches up to 100 feet. The Edge 3 Pro offers 50-megapixel photos and 1440p video, a faster 0.3-second trigger speed, no-glow flash (also with a 100-foot range), and includes the Easy Aim mount.

Edge 3 cameras will be compatible with previous Edge Series accessories as well as a new range of power accessories, including 10-watt and 3.4-watt solar panels and lithium rechargeable battery packs, all designed to replace AA batteries. Edge 3 cameras will also work with Edge mounting accessories, such as the Camera Stake (perfect for mounting a camera and solar panel when no tree is available), Flex Mount 2, Easy Aim mount, and steel security box.

Also, be on the lookout for the new Edge solar Cellular camera available now. It has a built-in solar panel that can be adjusted for optimal sunlight capture. It features 40-megapixel images, 1080p video, 0.4-second trigger speed, On Demand photos and videos, as well as auto-connect and internal memory.
