I have a Ruger all weather .17 HMR and am looking for recommendations on optimal magnification and objective details for a rifle scope. And if you have a specific brand/model in mind as well, please pass that along. Thank you. #varminthunting#optics#ruger
proquad20I put a vortex diamondback HP 4-16 on mine. It has a parallax adjustment to 30 yds. Most scopes have the parallax set at 100yds. Most of the time my targets are closer than 100 when shooting squirrels. But the 16x will let you stretch that caliber to its limits.
gallegos.p13Big Vortex user myself. A basic diamondback 3x9 would be enough. There is one company that offers a scope called the sweet 17 that was created just for that caliber. Has built in drop reticles for set distances.
