There is also three, one week seasons for black powder hunting. This agricultural belt ensures lots of large healthy deer. Whatever your game of choice you should be satisfied. We also offer coyote and goose hunting.
We offer a variety of game from pheasant, chukar, whitetail deer and wild turkey. The facility also includes clays and a rifle range. Whether new to hunting and wish to learn from our knowledgeable guides or a seasoned hunting veteran, we have something to challenge every type of hunter.

• Autumn Olive offers pheasant and chukars for upland hunting. Great cover awaits you including wild perennial grasses, natural cover, planted corn and millet plots.
From flat fields and fencerows to rolling terrain and creek beds, there is a variety of cover to meet every hunter's request. The property includes two distinct hunting areas to accommodate up to 20 hunters. For those who purchase 10 or more pheasants, a whole day hunt is allowed giving you the opportunity to truly enjoy the pristine surroundings. We welcome clients to bring their own dogs or offer a guide service with pointing dogs. Our dogs include a Vizsla and German Wirehair Pointer.

• Our hunting is done over pointing dogs. We have seven dogs, French Brittany. These dogs know the area and are familiar with the behavior of woodcock and grouse. They know their job and they do it well. They point an average of 25 to 30 birds a day. Clients who wish may bring their own dog to hunt over. Also this is a great place to bring a puppy to start it's hunting career.

• We hunt farm land habitat in Zones 7, 15 and 26 of the Québec Province. The high quality habitat of these farm lands gives us a good bear population. We hunt only active baited sites from tree stands. These stands are located in a range of 15 to 45 yards from the baits, making those sites ideals for both bow and gun hunters.
We have enjoyed an average of 90% success rate over the years. Controlling the number of the bears that we harvest has allowed us to increase both number and size of our bears. Our chief guide is a Certified Hunting Guide and has over 25 years of experience guiding bear hunters.
We hunt moose on private lands, 1,500 acres of moose habitat. The zone we hunt has never be hunted with rifle because this is an area for bow hunters only. We have a very good healthy moose population with some trophy size bulls. So, be prepare to action!

• Our bird area is located in middle of the Central flyway. Assuring hunters are in their blinds before sun-up, means we will never miss a minute of the action. Buck was born and raised in the Melfort area, and has great rapport with our local farmers and land owners. He has managed to secure thousands of acres exclusively for our hunters. Our hunting land consists of numerous waterholes and crops that are sown with cereals and legumes. We have premiere Waterfowl hunting territory right off our doorstep!! Our Guides and spotters have been hunting waterfowl for years and are ready to make this hunt one of your best. Some of the species we hunt include Greater and Lesser Canada Geese, Snow Geese and Speckle bellies. In the afternoon, we will hunt ducks which include mainly Mallards, Pintails, Widgeons, Teals, Gadwalls, and Northern Shovelers. Our duck hunts will take place primarily over waterholes and also in the fields. Don't forget your hunting buddy, dogs are welcome!

• Our Bear area consists of nearly 100000 acres of the Northern Boreal Forest. We have very low hunting pressure and therefore offer some of the best hunting in the world. 30 percent of bears are color phase bears. These colors include Cinnamon, Chocolate and Blonde. At Willow Ridge Outfitters we encourage clients to have patience and harvest mature boars. We are trophy hunters and practice game management. How to judge black bears (male/female), size, etc. and shot placement will be discussed at the lodge upon arrival and prior to your hunt to help ensure success. Taxidermy is available or you can take your trophy home with you.
