COUES DEER

Hermosillo • Commonly named as the " Gray Ghost" the Coues deer lives in the rugged mountains of North Central Mexico. Our 5 day Coues deer hunts take place in the rolling hills of the Sonoran Desert during the months of December and January. All hunts are fair chase tracking on foot by a previous transportation in 4 x 4 vehicles up to the hunting area. Once a trophy buck is located by glassing them, the "spot and stalk" method is used to get within shooting range, but when trail or water ponds are heavily used, a ground blind is a very good option to harvest a nice buck. We get every year a good amount of trophy bucks scoring over the 120" SCI mark. Our professional guides know perfectly the behavior of the bucks in the area and will do anything for you to have the best experience in Mexico. We hunt in 2 locations, Sonora and Chihuahua.

CARMEN MOUNTAIN WHITETAIL

Múzquiz • We hunt this subspecies of whitetail deer in the Sierra del Burro, part of the Carmen mountains, in the northern state of Coahuila, Mexico, endemic land of the Carminis deer. We provide high success 4 day hunts in fantastic mountain landscape, great accommodations and unique personal service. The Carmen Mountain is smaller than most of the whitetail in North America and weights up to 120 lbs. making this a tough task to find them behind a rock or bush. The color of its coat matches perfectly with his habitat, making this a great camouflage. His great character and the fantastic hunting area around the oaks and pine trees, makes this a unique hunting experience. This Mexican deer is one of the 5 new subspecies eligible for the SCI Record Book. The hunts take place during December and January. You need to fly into Monterrey International Airport and drive 6 hours to camp or take a charter flight. We have had 100% success rate on trophy bucks, since business inception.

CENTRAL PLATEAU WHITETAIL

Valparaíso • The Central Plateau Whitetail deer lives in the rugged mountains of North Central Mexico. Considered one of the most challenging species for North America Trophy hunters, an average whitetail deer weights between 80 to 100 lbs. dressed. This Mexican deer is one of the 5 new subspecies eligible for the SCI Record Book Our 5 day Central Plateau Whitetail deer hunt take place in the mountains of the Sierra Madre in the state of Zacatecas during the months of December and January. Hunting will be between 6500 and 8500 feet above sea level. All hunts are fair chase tracking on foot all the rolling hills and canyons of the Sierra Madre country, by a previous transportation in comfortable vehicles to the hunting area. DESERT BIGHORN SHEEP FREE RANGE

Hermosillo • The Desert Bighorn Sheep is one of the most wanted trophies throughout the international mountain hunting world. Sierra Madre Hunting has the exclusive rights to hunt over 900,000 acres of prime sheep land in the Northwest of Mexico, including mainland Sonora, South Baja & Tiburon Island. Free range sheep hunts: Our 10 day free range hunts are conducted mainland Sonora or South Baja, mainly on foot by a previous truck or 4 wheeler transportation to the hunting area. After glassing and locating a shootable ram, the stalk will begin to try getting within 200-250 yards, but be prepared for longer shots if needed. During the past years, we have accomplished to hunt free range trophies ranging from 160" to 178". For the mountain trophy hunter, there is nothing like having the opportunity to hunt inside Tiburon Island in the Sea of Cortes. Tiburon will give a real chance to harvest a 180+ class Desert Bighorn sheep.

DESERT MULE DEER

Hermosillo • Sierra Madre Hunting has access to the finest Desert Mule Deer ranches in the Sonoran Desert south of the border. All of our 6 day hunts are guided 1 X 1 tracking on foot and using high rack 4 X 4 vehicles. Our hunters expect to see from 4 to 6 bucks a day with an average antlers spread from 28" to 30" and scoring 175+ BC with good chances to get a 200+ monster. All our accommodations are in ranch houses with full size beds, hot showers, flushing toilets, warm rooms and 120V generators. We will pick you up at the Hermosillo International Airport where one of our representatives will assist you for custom clearing and drive you to one of our hunting ranches. Our hunting season runs from December to January where you will be hunting the pre-rut and the rut increasing the odds for a trophy deer. You can always hunt for a Coues whitetail deer after you take your mule deer, for an additional trophy fee.

BROCKET DEER

Calakmul • Smaller than any other deer in the continent, makes the Brocket Deer an excellent challenge for any experienced hunter. Our hunts take place in Campeche state inside the Yucatan Peninsula, southeast Mexico. We hunt this small creatures from blinds or via spot and stalk, by a previous transportation in 4 x 4 vehicles to the hunting area. They are extremely wary and the jungle provides plentiful possibilities for their escape. With the most percentage of the population to be gray, we have a good amount of red coloured trophies as well that weigh up to 60 pounds where males grow horns up to 12 inches in length This thrilling 5 day hunt can also be combined with Ocellated turkey, great curasaw, crested guan, collard peccary, forest cougar, white lipped peccary, coati, aguti, tepezcuincle, great tinamu, cahchalaca and scaled pigeon at a trophy fee basis during the months of February to May.

OCELLATED TURKEY

Calakmul • Our hunts take place in the state of Campeche, in the Yucatán peninsula of Mexico. This unique jungle habitat is home of the colorful Ocellated turkey, your last subspecies to complete your National Wild Turkey Federation World Slam. We have more than 20 years of experience in this mystical area hunting over 200,000 acres of pure thick and steamy virgin jungle, where you will find a wide variety of wildlife and several still undeveloped mayan ruins in our camp proximity. Looking more like a peacock, its feathers are bronze-green iridescent against light with an impressive brightness.
