In this Privacy Policy (“Policy”), we describe how we collect, use, and disclose information that we obtain about visitors to our website www.guidefitter.com  (the “Site”) and the services available through our Site (collectively, the “Services”).

By visiting our Site or using any of our Services, you agree that your personal information will be handled as described in this Policy. Your use of our Site or Services, and any dispute over privacy, is subject to this Policy and our Terms of Use, including its applicable limitations on damages and the resolution of disputes. Our Terms of Use are incorporated by reference into this Policy.

Information We Collect About You

We may collect information about you directly from you and from third parties, as well as automatically through your use of our Site or Services.

Information We Collect Directly From You. All visitors to our Site may browse the Site without registering for our Services. To register for our Services, you must provide certain information: Hunters and Guides must provide information such as their name and email address; Outfitters must provide information such as their name, email address, business name, country, and state. Hunters, Outfitters, and Guides may also provide additional information, such as mobile phone number, date of birth, gender, mailing address, photos, and personal description or biography, though this information is not required. We will also collect information that visitors to our Site voluntarily provide to us, for example if they contact us through our Site.

Information that We Collect About You from Social Networking Sites. You also may log into our Site through your Facebook account. If you do this, we may automatically collect information from your Facebook account, including the name and email address(es) associated with the account, as well as your profile picture. We store the information that we receive from Facebook with other information that we collect from you or receive about you. Please note that Facebook controls the information it collects from you. For information about they may use and disclose your information, including any information you make public, please consult their Facebook’s privacy policy and data use policy.

Information We Collect Automatically. We may automatically collect information, such as the following, about your use of our Site through cookies or other tracking technologies: your domain name; your device ID; your browser type and operating system; web pages you view; links you click; your IP address; the length of time you visit our Site and/or use our Services; your searches on our Site; and the referring URL, or the webpage that led you to our Site.   • Facebook Users. If you log in to our Site through Facebook, your username and profile picture will be visible to all other Guidefitter users, regardless of whether they are your Facebook friends. If you are logged in to our Site through Facebook, we may post information to your Facebook wall, if you elect to cross-post.
  • Guidefitter Users.Your user name and any information that you post to our Site, including, without limitation, reviews, comments, and text will be available to, and searchable by, all users of the Site and Services. In order to connect you with Hunters, Outfitters, or Guides, we will also share personal information such as your name and email address with those third parties.
  • Affiliates. We may disclose the information we collect from you to our affiliates or subsidiaries.
  • Service Providers. We may disclose the information we collect from you to third-party vendors, service providers, contractors, or agents who perform functions on our behalf.
  • Business Transfers. If we are acquired by or merged with another company, if substantially all of our assets are transferred to another company, or as part of a bankruptcy proceeding, we may transfer the information we have collected from you to the other company.
  • In Response to Legal Process. We also may disclose the information we collect from you in order to comply with the law, a judicial proceeding, court order, or other legal process, such as in response to a court order or a subpoena.
  • To Protect Us and Others. We also may disclose the information we collect from you where we believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person, violations of our Terms of Use or this Policy, or as evidence in litigation in which we are involved.

If you post content to our Services, all of the information that you post will be available to all visitors to our Site or Services. Our Site may contain links to third-party websites. Any access to and use of such linked websites is not governed by this Policy but instead is governed by the privacy policies of those third-party websites. We are not responsible for the information practices of such third-party websites.

Security of My Personal Information

We have implemented security measures to protect the personal information we collect, but no data security measures can guarantee 100% security. You should take steps to protect against unauthorized access to your password, mobile device and computer by, among other things, signing off after using a shared computer, choosing a robust password that nobody else knows or can easily guess, and keeping your log-in and password private. We are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or compromised passwords, or for any activity on your account via unauthorized password activity.

Access to My Personal Information

You may modify personal information that you have submitted by logging into your account and updating your profile information in your account settings on our Site. Please note that copies of information that you have updated, modified or deleted may remain viewable in cached and archived pages of the Site for a period of time.

Marketing Communications

We may send periodic promotional or informational emails to you. You may opt out of such communications by updating your marketing preferences in your profile or by emailing us at hello@guidefitter.com. Please note that it may take up to 10 business days for us to process opt-out requests. If you opt out of receiving emails about recommendations or other information we think may interest you, we may still send you emails about your account or any services you have requested or received from us.

Minors

Our Services are not designed for users under 18. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete such information from our systems.
