Guidefitter, the online community for guided hunting & fishing adventures, today announced a new addition to the company’s executive team to meet the needs of growing demand for their software platform and services for the outfitting industry. Ben Parsons, an outdoor industry veteran, was appointed as the director of business development and will oversee all sales and business partnerships for the company. Guidefitter is the online community for guided hunting & fishing adventures, enabling sportspersons, guides, outfitters and the organizations that serve them to collaborate and better promote their shared passion for the sport.

Prior to joining Guidefitter, Parsons was the operations manager and national sales director for Lucky Bums, a recreational outdoor equipment manufacturer based in Boise, Idaho, where he oversaw national buyer relationships with REI, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Sports Authority, Cabela’s, and Bass Pro Shops.

Koontz, an Internet marketing executive, software industry veteran, and avid lifelong sportsman, founded Guidefitter in 2011 to bring comprehensive outfitter search to consumers seeking guided hunting trips. The company completed a $1.5M Series A round of financing from private investors in April 2014 and has since expanded its offerings to include unique marketing and client management tools designed specifically for outdoor guides and outfitters.

The company plans to announce multiple new products for consumers, outfitters and outdoor gear manufacturers later this month.
