Guidefitter Unveils Guidefitter Journal,
Industry's First Guide and Outfitter Trade Publication

Guidefitter Journal is the new quarterly source for guide and outfitter best practices and the latest industry advice.

Austin, Texas (Sept. 20, 2016) – Guidefitter, the online network for guided hunting and fishing adventures, today announced it is introducing the outdoor industry's first trade publication for professional guides and outfitters. The publication, called the Guidefitter Journal, is a quarterly guide to overcoming challenges of the trade and an introduction to some of the people, products and stories that give life to the industry.

Guidefitter is an industry leading online platform serving guides, outfitters and sportspeople with outfitting news, advice and stories. The Grid, an expansion of Guidefitter's services, is an influencer marketing solution helping outdoor gear manufacturers reach a large network of verified guides and outfitters by offering pro-discounts. The journal serves to even further expand upon the Guidefitter mission by delivering content written specifically for pros, directly to their door.

"There are already plenty of hunting and fishing magazines aimed at helping sportspeople become better hunters and anglers, but nothing to help inform professional guides and outfitters," said Toni Korzan, owner of Dakota Prairie Lodge and Resort in Kimball, South Dakota. "Guidefitter's new journal is the first real attempt to speak to me as a professional outfitter and lodge owner."

With features like "Top 10 Mistakes New Clients Make" and "Outfitting in the Digital Age," Guidefitter Journal offers relevant solutions to common issues faced by industry pros, as informed by fellow expert guides and outfitters.

"We hope the Guidefitter Journal will help better inform and unite the industry," said Bryan Koontz, Founder and CEO of Guidefitter. "Many outfitters and guides have questions and face common challenges as they operate their businesses. And the industry as a whole faces challenges, from anti-participants, state and federal issues (nonresident tag allocations, grizzly bear delisting, the wolf issue), animal health issues (CWD, PKD, EHD), and a changing client-base. We expect the Guidefitter Journal to become the go-to information resource for the industry and help make the industry as a whole much more informed, efficient and stronger. The Journal will also entertain in a way only professional guides and outfitters will appreciate."

Professional guides and outfitters can become eligible to receive Guidefitter Journal and exclusive gear discounts by joining the Guidefitter network at guidefitter.com/join.
