Butler County, Kansas is known for its abundance of farmland which produces crops and nutrients that is essential to grow Trophy whitetail deer. You might even say it's the perfect habitat for large whitetail bucks. KFO provides habitat that is perfect for large whitetail bucks. The four key ingredients to having a quality deer herd are all found on all of KFO hunting properties. You must have genetics, food, habitat, and a good age structure to produce monster bucks and quality whitetail deer hunting. The genetics here in Kansas are the best in the country. The food and habitat could not be better.
Turkey hunting at KFO is a favorite among hunters. Enjoy hunting native turkey in natural habitat. An abundance of pastures mixed with Kansas wheat fields and hardwoods present habitat ideal for turkey hunting.

• Duck & Goose hunting with KFO in South Central Kansas is available from December thru mid February. In late December a varieties of ducks and Geese make there yearly migration south. The majority of species making their way past our location consist of Mallards, Teal, Woodies, Gadwalls, Pintails, Wigeons, Greater and lesser Canadian Geese.
The majority of our hunts consist of a morning and afternoon hunts. You will mostly be hunting over watershed lakes, ponds and grain fields a few miles away from El Dorado Federal Reservoir. You and your hunting partners will be hunting from either pit blinds, portable blinds or layout blinds. Waterfowl hunts can be guided or self guided and pricing is based on availability. Unguided duck and goose hunts means we will get the hunter to the point of where he parks his truck and steps out to hunt. Once to that spot the hunter makes the rest of his duck hunting experience using his own equipment, dogs and skill.

• Guided Hunt
When you step into the field on one of these hunts you will be accompanied by an expert guide and some of the finest shorthair pointers to be found anywhere. Your dog is always welcome. Shots are guaranteed and you can choose to hunt either pheasant,or quail.
Self Guided Hunt
This option is for the hunter who has an experienced dog and doesn't need or want to hunt with a guide. This hunt allows the guest to take either 5 pheasant or 12 quail. Extra birds may be purchased as well. This is also an excellent chance to work a young dog or a seasoned dog prior to the regular hunting season to prepare for opening day.
European Shoot
This is an exciting option offered by Bluestem and guarantees the participant an experience they won't soon forget. In the Euro, the shooter takes pass shots as the birds fly over his station or blind.
