United States • Midwest Whitetail Adventures specializes in guided whitetail hunts in North East Kansas. We have searched out top hunting properties and have over 18,000 acres with a 140" minimum. This farm has been strictly managed and has been consistently producing Monster Bucks. Accompanied with our harvesting method we have seen a mature herd, having bucks over 200" taken, and numerous bucks of 200" + being seen every year. We have sought out local land owners who have also adapted a 140" minimum for their properties, and this has allowed our bucks to grow to full potential. Some outfitters will take smaller tracts of land and try to manage for a certain size which is very hard to maintain. We feel our method is a more productive way of harvesting the Monster Bucks that will satisfy our hunters.

Kansas • Prairie dogs can be hunted year round with good success. As long as the sun is shining with relatively warm temperatures (anything above 60 degrees) there will usually be prairie dogs out feeding. We consider peak season to be April-June and Sept-Oct simply because this time frame offers the best chance of favorable weather and is when most people book. We can hunt doves in the morning and evening with prairie dog shooting during the day. It makes for a good deal of trigger time packed into one day.

There are over 2 million ...waterfowl that winter in this area each year. Cheyenne Bottoms is a 41,000-acre lowland basin and is the largest fresh water marsh in the interior of the United States. It is considered the most important shorebird migration point in the western hemisphere. Each year this area attracts 45 to 90% of the North American shorebird population during spring migration. At least 320 species of birds have been recorded. The area is a critical habitat for several threatened and endangered species such as Whooping Cranes, Peregrine Falcons, Least Terns, and Piping Plovers. Thousands of Sandhill Cranes stop here on their spring and fall migrations.

If you have your own stands, blinds, or feeders, you are more than welcome to bring them and we will help you set them up. Potter Creek Outfitters is offering fully guided turkey hunts. Our turkey hunting is some of the finest in the state of Kansas. We have access to some prime hunting ground in Units 2 and 3.

Kansas, United States • Pheasant hunting is our main focus at Potter Creek Outfitters. We have tons of wild pheasant and quail on our properties but we also release bird for each hunt. Unlike most CSA's, we only shoot ROOSTERS. We try and leave all the hens for breeding so we can keep growing our wild bird population. All of our pheasant hunts are fully guided and include: guide, experienced dogs, lunch, and cleaning of your birds. If you have your own bird dogs you are more than welcome to bring them. All hunts are a minimum of 2 hunters.
