The sleeper province has finally gained the world class reputation it deserves. Alberta is the nesting ground for several species of ducks. Big red legged Mallards are the most prominent waterfowl in the central eastern agricultural parkland.
Goose hunting in Alberta is becoming more and more renowned amongst the waterfowling fraternity with each passing season.
Its no secret that goose numbers have flourished across the prairies and continue to do so. This has provided hunters visiting Alberta top notch hunting opportunity for Greater Canada Geese, Speckled Belly Geese, and Snow Geese. We built the lodge in central eastern Alberta in a region where habitat for local bird production is excellent due to abundant potholes and nesting cover. Greater Canada Geese nest here and are present as the season opens - there is no waiting for migrations.

• Montana Bob Marshall Wilderness archery elk hunting. 7 Lazy P offers fully-guided, unguided, and drop camp wilderness archery elk hunts. These hunts are based out of a traditional backcountry tent camp.
Guided hunts are 2:1 with a maximum of 6 hunters. A traditional wilderness camp with guides, a packer, and a cook.
Unguided hunts for up to 6 hunters. Hunt on your own out of a traditional wilderness camp that is provided. You bring your personal gear. We provide the full camp, a packer, and a cook.
Drop camp hunts are for 2-4 people. We provide the camp and all necessary camp equipment. You provide all the rest, including your own food. We will provide game packing services.
You must apply for a Montana hunting license by March 15. We can assist with the application process.

These hunts are 9 days long (9/14-9/22 and 9/25-10/3) These are fully guided, 2:1 hunts. Horses and mules are used on this traditional backcountry hunt. Camp is very comfortable with all the amenities of a wilderness camp. Maximum of 6 hunters per hunt. Crew consists of 3 guides, a packer, and a cook. A great hunting experience with top notch crew, excellent camp and equipment. A great way to experience the Bob Marshall Wilderness and hunt elk on their own terms.

• Red Bluff Prairie offers coastal prairie duck hunting on ponds and flooded fields. Pintail, teal, gadwall, widgeon and other puddle ducks wintering on the Texas Coast flock to these managed areas offering consistent, quality hunting.
Above ground blinds are located on each of these ponds and fields. They vary in size from 24' to 32' in length. Each blind contains a bench for comfort and a top for concealment from birds overhead.
We also take advantage of the huge concentrations of wintering geese that visit the area by deploying large "white spreads" in harvested rice, soybean, plowed, and fallow fields. White spread hunting for geese was developed by Marvin Tyler and Jimmy Reel during the 1950's and is still the method of choice for Texas goose hunts. Although the equipment has changed from cloth rags to commercial wind-socks, the concept pioneered by these waterfowling legends remains unchanged.

• After experiencing the amazing amount of Ducks & Geese that winter on our property, Big Valley Outfitters in Cassoday, KS has decided to open a Waterfowl Hunting operation.Cheyenne Bottoms & Quivira National Wildlife Refuge are just a short flight by a Duck or Goose to the west. There are over 2 million ...waterfowl that winter in this area each year. Cheyenne Bottoms is a 41,000-acre lowland basin and is the largest fresh water marsh in the interior of the United States. It is considered the most important shorebird migration point in the western hemisphere. Each year this area attracts 45 to 90% of the North American shorebird population during spring migration. At least 320 species of birds have been recorded. The area is a critical habitat for several threatened and endangered species such as Whooping Cranes, Peregrine Falcons, Least Terns, and Piping Plovers. Thousands of Sandhill Cranes stop here on their spring and fall migrations.

For our animals, we provide year round supplemental feed to ensure that they are getting optimum nutrition, which produces a healthier animal with larger antlers. We use Sportsmans Choice Record Rack feeds, which are known for producing the class of whitetails that we are after. By combining a world class nutritional program with world class properties, we are able to give hunters a legitimate chance at trophy class whitetails.
